Artlink was incorporated in 1978. Artlink's mission is to showcase work of the highest quality by emerging and mid-career artists and provide educational programs for the community. In 1991 Artlink became one of the 10 funded members of Arts United and moved into the newly renovated Hall Community Art Center. Artlink has received annual funding from the Indiana Arts Commission since 1979. Artlink is governed by a 20 member Board of Directors. Artlink holds 9 original exhibitions in the Main Gallery and 9 exhibitions in the Push Pin Gallery which features member artists. The Artist Panel is responsible for the exhibition schedule. The exhibition schedule is planned two years in advance while the hallway gallery is scheduled a year out. To learn more about exhibiting opportunities please visit the Calls for Entry page. Artlink offers summer art classes for grades 1-8 in June at the University of Saint Francis and workshops for adults in July. The workshops can be taken for credit. During the month of November visit Holiday Art Market at Artlink offering a large variety of artist work for those seeking unique holiday gifts. Two times a year Artlink offers bus trips to regional galleries and museums. This is open to members and non-members. Upcoming trips are listed on Artlink's home page. Artlink has become a referral service within the community. Each day we receive calls inquiring about area art classes, artists that work in a certain technique and general questions. We do our best to stay informed and connected to what is happening in the Fort Wayne art community to answer these questions. To view a listing of area artists, arts resources or area art classes for children and adults visitArtlink's Community Resource Pages.Artlink is a not-for-profit contemporary visual arts gallery, one of the few in the state of Indiana not associated with a university or artist's co-op. Artlink sponsors eight original exhibitions per year in the Main Gallery and eight exhibitions of artist members in the Hallway Gallery. Artlink's mission is to showcase artwork of the highest quality by emerging and mid-career artists and provide educational programs for the community. |
