Artlink Hallway Gallery Shows

Artlink will select artists for the hallway gallery beginning July 1, 2009. Please email up to 3 examples of your work to submissions@artlinkfw.com to be considered for a hallway gallery show in the June 2010 to July 2011 schedule. The hallway gallery is filled in the order that work is recieved.

Mini Quilt Mixed Media call for entry
Artlink is partnering with the AIDS Task Force to commemorate their 25th Anniversary this year.  Artlink will also collaborate with the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre for their Civic Off-Main production of Quilt – A Musical Celebration.  As part of the anniversary Artlink is seeking work from artists for its Push Pin Gallery (formerly known as the Hallway Gallery).  The artwork should pertain to the subject of AIDS through artistic commentary or commemoration.Please download the prospectus for full details.

Lots of Little Art call for entry
This is a national call for entry in all media. Artwork must be 6"x 6" or smaller for two dimensional work and 6"x 6"x 6" for three dimensional work.

General Artwork Requirements:
All artwork must be original. The only giclee prints that are accepted are of photographic work or digitally created work. All paintings should be the original works not reproductions. Artwork for the main gallery must be properly framed and ready for hanging. Matted work must be covered with plexiglass. Oil paintings must be dry. Artwork must be labeled on the back with artist's name, address, phone, value (for insurance purposes) and sale price (or NFS if not for sale).

Artwork for the Hallway Gallery need not be framed, but should be covered with protective plastic. All artwork is insured while in our building.

Consigment work at Artlink: Artist must be a member of Artlink excluding those interested in the Holiday Market. All work must be viewed by the Executive Director to be included. Please contact deb@artlinkfw.com to make an appointment.

About the Artist Panel

The Artist Panel is responsible for the exhibition schedule at Artlink.   The panel is made up of 15 professional artists and two student representatives from Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne and the University of Saint Francis.   The Executive Director of Artlink chairs this committee.   Each artist represents a different media to ensure the exhibitions are broad in their scope.   The panel meets once each month to review and plan exhibitions.   The Artist Panel selects and juries entries unless otherwise noted on the prospectus. The jury criteria is listed below. Each panel member serves a three year term and must be off of the panel for one year before they could be voted to serve on the panel again.

Artist Panel Jury Criteria:

Artlink will consider the following four elements when selecting work for exhibitions.
Consistency of work presented by the artist. 
Does the work present a consistent theme or technique of media?

Quality of work presented. 
Does the work demonstrate craftsmanship, attention to detail, professional                          presentation?      
      
Creativity or Conceptual quality of work. 
Is the work submitted creative in its content and overall projected meaning?

How well the work submitted relates to the theme or intent of the exhibition..
