Upcoming Events & Opportunities

The IPFW Ceramics Club is having a pottery sale next week! Wednesday, April 11th & Thursday, April 12th from 9am to 5pm by the bookstore in Walb Student Union. There are so many incredibly talented students at IPFW and this is a great opportunity to purchase unique handmade pottery for a reasonable price with the bonus of helping to support the IPFW Ceramics Club!

While you're at the IPFW pottery sale (and also if you don't go to the pottery sale) you should definitely stop by the Visual Arts building to see the Senior Fine Arts BFA Exhibition! Some of the students who have work in the pottery sale are also graduating this spring and have a beautiful gallery of their work currently on display from April 2nd to May 4th. It is a very unique exhibition because all four graduates are women and all four are three-dimensional artists. Go check it out!

The University of Saint Francis also has their Student Exhibition going on currently from April 7 to May 2! The reception is Saturday, April 7th from 5-7PM. This exhibition features work by students currently enrolled at the School of Creative Arts. All studio art, communication arts and graphic design, computer art, film and music technology will be on display.

I Must Be Dreaming show located at: USF Performing Arts Center, 431 W Berry Street

The Hedge
On April 28 from 5-8PM The Hedge is having a spring party!
They want to share their newest line of art and jewelry with you, all while drinking wine and also having some fun with the press. This is a free event and open to everyone!!

On Wednesday, April 4 join us at Calhoun Street Soups, Salads, and Spirits from 7-9PM for Drawn Together!
Drawn Together is a celebration of creativity and community. Each month, we bring artists and friends together to draw, sketch, doodle, and design. We'll bring the pencils and paper, just bring your imagination!

Drawn Together is a free, all ages event for artists and non-artists alike! Join us for one of our upcoming events!

Join us at Artlink on Wednesday, April 18 from 6-9PM for Collaboratorium!
Collaboratorium is a weekly artmaking session run by Italian Friend ArtRuckus that brings together artists, musicians, performers, and writers to create collaborative, improvised works in a wide range of mediums, including visual art, music, video, and performance art. Collaboratorium sessions take place in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages participants to focus on the processes of collaboration, experimentation, and improvisation.
For the April Collaboratorium, we'll be getting in touch with our sense of touch. We'll be collaborating on clay sculptures that are created by hand--while blindfolded! Each artist will have a set amount of time to work on a piece before handing it off to another blindfolded artist. As always, all supplies will be provided. All you have to do is show up and play with us!

Candie's Cuffs

Candie Cooper, local jewelry (and everything) artist is amazing!   Her classes are like a party-but a productive party! She teaches classes nation wide, and we are very lucky to have her.  Come create a leather cuff bracelet.  Learn the basics of simple jewelry making, and walk away with something that will add to your wardrobe.  Thursday, April 19th, 6-9pm.  More info and sign up here.

Fun Food

You have to get your kiddos to this one!  They will become addicted to this creative material called polymer clay.  Local artist Ashley Sanson will lead the kiddos through miniature clay food sculptures, that can decorate the kitchen for a long time to come!  Saturday, April 14th, 10am-12pm.  More info and sign up available here.
