What is figure drawing?
Over the years, our figure drawing classes have helped artists hone their craft and practice their drawing skills. We are excited to announce some new class times and options to better serve the artists in our community!
What is figure drawing?
We draw the figure! Our figure drawing class is a weekly program that offers serious artists and students the opportunity to build a solid foundation in drawing the figure. To help artists practice, we offer long and short poses, now with both nude and clothed drawing sessions!
How much is it to attend?
Each session is just $3 per hour! You can stay as long or as short as you would like.
What do I need?
Bring your favorite drawing materials, but we’ve got easels, boards, chairs, and music for your enjoyment.
What is the pace of the class?
Monday sessions will begin with a half hour pose or short, 5-minute poses. Poses will be 40-45 minutes long. The last Monday of each month will be long pose night with three hours of the same pose at 40-45 minutes each; maybe warm-ups, maybe not, depends on the drawers present. If you would like or need a warm-up, request it!
Every other Saturday we will have a clothed model. We will start these new sessions with long poses. If you want to paint, sculpt, or draw a long pose, this session is for you. We will be flexible and try to make everyone happy. But basically, long, clothed poses were requested, so here they are!
